    Hi Joey,

The David that was born in 1756 to William and Margaret was born at Milntown of Kilravock.

Milntown over the years could change in spelling and become Milton.

Milton of Kilravock is about 3k North East of the Castle.

Just a theory about the name.

Joey, you will know the Scottish naming pattern that was used in these old days

1st son : Son after the father's father
2nd son son after the mother's father
    3rd son after the father
4th son after the father's oldest brother

    daughter

1st daughter after the mother;s mother
    etc

    Chalky:
Am still "chasing" after Lieut. David Rose origins.
Your comments about the MILNTOWN now MILTON on the David Rose No.1:16/04/1756 record are much needed.
Could I have your input about the townships of the other two birth certificates for David Rose as am having trouble deciphering the writing on the certificates viewed via Scotlandspeople.com.uk?

No.2: 29 Mar 1752 - is it OLDTOWN and anywhere near Kilravock?

No.3: 13 Jun 1758 - is it DALTULICK or DATTULICH? and do you know where? Joey

Can you put the certificates on the boards for us to view?
