Yes , Philip I must have learned something over my 30 years and One day service in investigation work ?!

They say "once a Bobby always one !"

The main thing is that this Memorial has not been dumped in a skip as so many have over the years and classed by folks nowadays as "old and in the Past ".

Bit scary Pat that it was someone called Webster that called you about it - is he a descendant?

Hi Smokie, yes he is a grandson of the owners and a nephew of the 2nd Lt J F Webster , BW att Gordons and James Webster is a friend of mine from childhood days and Ive been keeping him updated on the search for the memorial . He has gained more info on his Uncle too as I have been passing on research papers to him to update his family members and it seems that cousins of his have had the information on 2nd Lt J F Webster cascaded to them all !

Ive not seen James Webster or any of his brothers since the newspaper reports this week .

The main thing is that the Memorial is found -

The UK Inventory of War Memorials index at the Imperial War Museum in London lists the Alma Works & Netherward works as Reference no 5667 .

I have notified them of the change of location from the Signal Tower Museum at Arbroath to Weavers Close , Arbroath and the former Alma Works . Hopefully they will update this info
