Thanks Chalky, it must be an age thing, but have found the names. The 4 names from 1867 to 1887 are not under the CWGC,does the CWGC start with the first War? Found a very good site under Lennon Wylie, it list all deaths in the great War inc Regiments, for all the Pres Church's in Ireland, very useful, well worth a look,

Re: Black Watch Graves in Ireland

    Hello Pat
update on TRF Paterson and WT Ferris both graves located, another name has cropped up from Armagh, Lennox an old Armagh family, used to own an old department store in the middle of Armagh, I have located one Lennox from Armagh that served in the BW and KIA in 1917 (CWGC RECORDS) but there could be an other Lennox maybe an officer, Ferris was a friend and both probably went to the Royal School Armagh.
    Could you check for me?
    Many Thanks Pat,
    Joe

Re: Black Watch Graves in Ireland

Joe : Hope this info can help you a wee bit :

Officers of the BW Vol 11 page 41 :

    FERRIS , W T (T F) 6th Perthshire Bn : 2 Lt 6 Feb 1916, Wounded 28 July 1916, Lieut 6 Aug 1917

    same book But Page 67:

    LENNOX C J ( V ) , 1st City of Dundee Bn : 2Lt 20
    Dec 1902, Lieut 7 May 1904, Capt 10 Jan 1907

LENNOX D ...this one is a Surgeon Major up to 1901 so wont give you details on him

Officers of the BW 1725 to 1986 : page 65

only two Lennox listed and one left the reg in 1884 and the other one was commissioned in 1948

See what the National Archives says for the medal roll for soldiers in the Great War . go into their website and look at the medal roll and see what comes up for Lennox and maybe you will be able to spot what your looking for better with that

The army list for March 1917 has 20 with the name Lennox listed but not one of these names ties in with a Black Watch officer
