Around the World with The Black Watch – Holland

During the Second War, The Black Watch helped to liberate a number of towns in Holland. Holland is known for many thing; tulips, windmills and beautiful blue painted pottery, known as Delftware. Join us to design and paint your own Delftware plate.

Around The World with The Black Watch – Greece

During the First World War a Black Watch soldier made some surprising discoveries within his trench in Greece – ancient pottery. Lets’ get crafty as we create our own Greek pots out of clay.

Around The World with The Black Watch – North America

In their early years the Regiment served in North America. The American national emblem is the bald eagle. Come along to the Castle and make your own majestic eagle using your handprint.

Afternoon Tea with the Archive

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the Museum’s Empire Gallery (once the drawing room of the Earls of Kinnoull). Take your afternoon tea whilst listening to the narration of letters from our archive, all written by serving soldiers to their loved ones during times of conflict. Access to The Black Watch Museum included.
