    My small Black Watch Collection

    Hello,
my Name is Nico from Berlin and today I try to start a Thread with my Black Watch Items I collected during my collecting Years.
I also collect Related Items to the Allied Forces in Berlin from 1945 to 1994 where the Black Watch had 3 Tours.
As a first Pic I try an old Showcase in a, now closed, Museum in Berlin.
Later I show the Items in single Posts.
The Tunic is from Brigadier McMicking, Berlin Infantry Brigade Commanding Officer 1978-80
the Swords are from Sir Allan Gomme-Duncan
the Glengarry from his Son Malcolm
the Sam Browne from Maj. Proctor

Some Pics of the Swords of Sir Allan Gomme-Duncan
Details on him can be found on wiki.
They were also used by his Son during his Officers Career.
Please forgive the Bad Pic's, they're old and I made them with just a small Camera.

The "British Corner" from the other side.
The Back of the Showcase is in Post 1.
It was the former McNair Museum in Berlin.
We had to leave the Place as the new Owner wanted to make more money by converting it into Lofts.
It was located at former US Army McNair Barracks where we had a home for many years.

Hi Nico and welcome to the Forum,

Nice photos of your collection. Thanks for posting.

Major Proctor works at Balhousie Castle, Regimental home of the Black Watch.

If you need help identifying anything then Ron will be the man to help.

Thank you for your kind words.
I showed Ronnie the small "Collars" but he didn't remembered them. Maybe some Vol's. or so.
    Maybe somebody knows them here.
I met Ronnie last Year at the Remembrance Service to the Annniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele last November.

Hi Nico, that is a very nice collection you have there especially the swords.
With regard to the small collar badges, I'm afraid to say they are complete fakes. They are made in England from cast white metal, they bear the HT initials of the Edinburgh maker Henry Tatton, and some meaningless punch marks that purport to be hallmarks. This size of badge were never worn by officers of the regiment. You find them on Ebay going for 60, but really they are worthless.
The small badge between the 42nd and 73rd is it possible to see a close up including the reverse? Also the Highland Cyclists bi-metal badge?
See below for my examples of the fakes.
