A question for Ron

Can you help me out with this photograph: The image shows my uncle Billy with his big brother Pattie - can you tell me what the badge above the stripe on his right arm means - the lettering inside the circle is: SP
I'm not sure of this but the insignia on his collar tabs looks like a tab that I'd expect to see on the collar tab of a (Grenadier..?)

Ron - This question comes from Billy's wife - Billy died last year and she found this photograph amongst his belongings. Pattie didn't talk about his time in the services (period) hence the lack of knowledge as to the regiment he served in...

Eddie, his cap badge is a Royal Artillery gun the collars RA grenades with ubique scroll below.
The badge is difficult to see, if it was SB it would be stretcher bearer if SP I don't know.

Eddie, just found out SP means special proficiency and was issued to drummers in the RA.
