Dear Association Member,

In the bicentenary of Waterloo Major General James Cowan will be next in our series of lectures on Waterloo, following Major (Retd) Colin Innes and Brigadier (Retd) Charles Grant. Rather than covering the same ground, James will examine the relevance of the Waterloo campaign to modern war: to what extent was the conduct of war in the subsequent 200 years shaped by the Napoleonic Wars? What can we learn from the events of 1815? And to what extent is warfare now profoundly different? Join us at Balhousie and find out.
