    shoulder belt plate 42 Highlanders c1786 - 1800

    This SBP is similar to Ron Marsden's example except it is silver plated, with a silver foil edge which extends to the back of the plate.
    Also, a previous owner has scratched on the back "MC 1812".
    If someone has an army list for that year, can they please check the initials MC.

    Scott, what a great item never seen or heard of a silver plated example.
    You can just see evidence of a scallop border around the top half of the plate. You can tell by the differences in the engraving that each plate was individually made for example your St. Andrew has a beard.
