In "Roll of Honour of the Pupils and Staff of Dunfermline High School - The Great War 1914-1919" (published 1920) I read the following entry:
Forker, Henry, Piper, 1/7 B.W. Later Pipe-Major to Volunteers. Address - Wellwood.
He is also mentioned as a Piper in the 7th Battalion Black Watch in "The Pipes of War" by Seton/Grant. No reg. number is mentioned.
He probably became a Pipe Major after the war, but was that in one of the volunteer battalions of the Black Watch and when?
Any information about Henry Forker as a Pipe Major is welcome!
