What a wonderful Remembrance Window. The colours and detail are stunning. Thank you for posting Mark.

WW1 memorial ?
Is that not the S African memorial?
it is well worth seeing.
Further back than South Africa Joe.
This window depicts a Seaforth Highlander standing guard over two Black Watch soldiers in the Crimea.
The window came to the museum after many years in a public house in Edinburgh's Rose Street.
Well spotted Chalky, I should have noticed the badge of my dads old regiment on the sporran,Guidichn Righ. Bill..
Thanks for the info Chalky. I wasn't aware it depicted the Crimea. The Window forms the centre of the wall of remembrance at the museum.

Thanks Chalky I knew there was some thing wrong!!
Thanks Chalky I knew there was some thing wrong!! As Dennis or Skin would say " Pay attention to detail"!!
Now that is strange. It states on the website:
The Black Watch First World War Memorial Wall project will focus on the heritage of The Black Watch in the First World War, and the ramifications of that War on the Regiment
Why is a stained glass window of the Crimea used as a centre piece for the WW1 Rembrance wall? I can only surmise that whoever put it together thought it was from WW1.
