    Quatre Bras -16 June 1815 - anniversary

    Today , 16th June (1815 ) is the anniversary of the Battle of QUATRE BRAS in what his now Belgium and the famous 42nd under the command of Lt Col Macara (from Fortingall ) and the other famous regiment - 92nd [Gordon Highlanders ] under their commander Lt Col John Cameron of FASSFERN .


    There is a memorial to Lt Col Macara of the 42nd and his men and to Lt Col John Cameron and his 92nd casualties near Aviemore and a memorial to Lt Col John Cameron of the 92nd near Corpach


    Waterloo itself was fought on 18th June 1815 ...
