Transvaal Scottish badges from my collection.

Recruited by the Marquis of Tullibardine in 1902 from Scottish soldiers who took their demob in South Africa.
Affiliated to the Black Watch and have worn the Red Hackle since 1938.

Officers silver button by Fraser & Ross of Glasgow in the style of Scottish Horse badge.
This pattern was only worn 1902-3. afterwards adopting the thistle star pattern.
