L/Cpl, postcard taken at Southbridge Studio Cupar. Reverse franked with the stamp of the A.S.C. Supply Depot Cupar.
He seems to be wearing a Victorian glengarry badge, also small RH shoulder title. He wears a watch a wedding ring and a hanky tucked up his sleeve.

Jan 1896 makes sense wearing the full dress doublets. I would guess that these jackets had the quilted lining removed.

    Thanks, Ron.

Unknown Territorial Bn machine gun section, they look to be Maxims rather than the lighter Vickers.

Carte-de-visite by James Boath 43 Backwynd Forfar Angus.
1st Forfar (Dundee) Rifle Volunteer Corps Quarter Master Sgt wearing the uniform in use 1862-1877.
I am informed by members of the badge forum he is erroneously wearing a six pointed proficiency star above the chrevrons which is reserved for RQMS.
