    L/Cpl 2nd Black Watch India circa 1904, wearing a first class proficiency scout arm badge.
    Below is a photo of the same man taken from the scouts of the 2nd Bn Peshawar 1906.

    Thank you Mike, interesting to find he served in the Balkans I wonder what regiment he was in at that time.
    Forgot to mention he is wearing riding breeches.

    Ron....Probably one of the Royal Scots battalions. 1st RS were in Salonika. Several other RS Batts served in Gallipoli which is likely embraced in the "Balkans" theatre. 13th (Scottish Horse) Batt BW was in Salonika but not until 1916, and Nixon's entry was 1915.
