I have come across a CSM RW Proudfoot who was in the 2nd Bn of the Black Watch,KIA 21 1 1916,
There was a photo posted on site from the Belfast EveningTelegraph.
Would you have a photo of him?
    Joe
R.W Proudfoot was born in Edinburgh and his widow and parents lived in Edinburgh when he was killed. He was a career soldier with the BW serving in Africa and India as well as WW1. The photo was put in the Belfast paper his proud though sad relatives who had moved there.

625 (240049) Allan G.W. Nicol and 627 (240050) Alfred John Nicol were brothers from Friockheim serving in the same company of the 5th BW.
Both lads went out with the initial cohort of the 5th Bn to France on 01/11/1914.

They both enlisted in May/June 1912.
