Perth Highland Volunteers, a veteran wearing his sporran and glengarry Pitlochry photographer. This man could be a double for Edward V11!

Valentines novelty card, opens to reveal small photos of Rothesay. Think they were printed with other regimental kilts also. Post marked 1913.

No tartan whatsoever, could be 9th HLI.
"Just to let you see where I am to spend the evenings for next three nights I go back to Walker St on Mon.
The lady in black is Dr May L."
Addressed to Miss Penny Auchlee, Langside.

Interesting photo, Ron. I notice that there is one man, standing 5th from right facing, who has a glengarry of Sutherland dicing without badge indicating A&SH or 5th Seaforth. Along the same row, the man 9th from right wears a blue balmoral; this suggests a wartime photo no earlier than 1915. However, the text on the card gives no hint that this scene was during the Great War. Was there any date or postmark on the card?

Mike, like so many WW1 cards it was never posted. If I knew where Auchlee Langside was it might be a clue?

    Ron,
I assumed Auchlee was part of the addressee, Miss Penny Auchlee. As for Langside, that is a section of Glasgow.

Mike, if that is a Glasgow address then I would say they are 9th HLI.
