    Engraved silver vesta case with watch chain suspension ring. Makers mark unreadable but assayed in Birmingham 1906. Engraved Lt. G.E.B. OSBORNE / F.F.Y. OFFICERS LLOYD LINDSAY D. SQUADRON 1908.
    George Edward Bell Osborne born Glasgow 1879; 2nd Lieut 1st Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers March 1899; Lieut L.R.V. March 1902; 2nd Lieut Fife and Forfar Imperial Yeomanry March 1904; Lieut F.F.I.Y. Feb 1908. In March of 1908 he transferred to FFY (TF). Cpt Dec 1912; T/Maj June 1916; Major Sept 1916. Landed at Sulva Bay Gallipoli Oct 1915, contracted trench foot during the storms of November evacuated to Hamrun Hospital Malta for two months convalescence, KIA at the battle of Tell esh Sheria Palestine as Major 'B' Coy 14th Fife and Forfar Bn Royal Highlanders. He is commemorated in Beersheba Cemetery grave no L39 C.
    The Llyod Lindsay was a competition of four horsemen who had to jump over a series of hurdles and fire their rifles in unison. Points were awarded for speed and accuracy and style.

    Signals arm badge mounted with a brass and enamel sweetheart badge lugs removed from flags and brooch pin fitted.
    See last post in my picture thread for badge being worn.

    Officers 1902-36 glengarry badge, solid silver plated back star with separate scrolls brazed on.
    Heavy service wear and polish but all letters visible.

    This must be my smallest badge, a white metal St. Andrew buttonhole lapel badge with cresent fitting.

    26 inch long swagger stick, cane shaft with nickle plated ball handle mounted with a silver badge bearing a Victorian crown.

    Copper identity disc, I think this is a WW2 number but not sure.

    1st Bn athletic sports medal in bronze dated 1926 the Bn in Multan at that time.
    The recipient B.D.S.J.Mc Intosh decided there was not enough room on the reverse for all his initials, so he cut down a silver coin and brazed it onto the medal.
    Unfortunatly the heat caused deformation on the face of the medal.

    I dont normally include reproductions in my collection but this example is so good it will suffice untill I find an original.
