    Officers bonnet badge a good silver example with an unusual style of Sphinx with prominent
    asp headband. Resting on a tablet inscribed Egypt. Reverse with stout pin.Circa 1870s?

    Pipers plaid brooch 75mm diameter cast white metal stamped 14 on the reverse.
    1870s.

    Various 42nd buttons officers and ors, the small button with a circlet is a shell jacket cuff pattern.
    1855-1881.

    Cast white metal St Andrew 52mm high. Single screw and nut fitting to the rear at the top with dowel pin at bottom to prevent turning.
    Belived to be to worn on a baldrick.
    Circa 1870s.

    Two relic buttons in pewter 73rd Foot found in Nova Scotia they were there for only two months in 1838.
    42nd Foot found near Crown Point on the Hudson River circa 1758. This button so corroded the sketch underneath
    shows what it should look like.

    Small copper gilt officers button of Dundee Volunteers. Bearing City arms.
    Formed to guard the Tay ports against French invasion 1797-1801.

    Edinburgh half-penny token dated 1790 in that year the 42nd were stationed at the Castle.
