An excepionally rare pewter early 19th century headress badge. Superimposed on St Andrew and the Cross a circlet inscribed Peninsular Waterloo; to the center, Sphinx resting on a tablet inscribed Egypt. Either side of the circlet appear star rays. Set on a red felt backing mounted on a thick tooled leather rosette. Circa 1830s?
