A scarce Great War period 'Dundee War Women's Relief Fund' gilded brass and enamel badge. To the centre the 'City arms of Dundee', the reverse impressed with the low membership number 19/1 and makers details Rattray Dundee the well known jeweller and goldsmith of 32 Nethergate.
At the begining of the war the offer by the Dundee's Women's Suffrage Society of their staff for war work was greatefully accepted by the Lord Provost on behalf of the City of Dundee and the committee of ladies was formed. The fund sent innumerable comforts to soldiers serving at home and abroard and carried out administrative duties for the Scottish Women's Hospital.

Pewter pint beer mug with glass bottom. Stamped into the base Jewelars Ltd India English Pewter.
Engraved on the body a 42 star badge and inscription 2745610 Sergt LAMOND D 1-4-23. 1st Bn in Quetta at this time.
Supplement to the London Gazette 2nd June 1943 2745610 Doey Ferguson Lamond WO1.

Three thick D shaped lugs to the reverse. 1887-1908.

Silver die-struck Drum Major's bonnet badge. Full breasted Sphinx reclining on a rope above a tablet inscribed EGYPT.
Two silver loops to the reverse, badge now toning black.

The Scottish National War Memorial Committee headed by the Duke of Atholl raised a total of £111.500, £14.147 of which came from Thistle Day activities held on the 16th November 1921.
Large size pin.
