Did you removed it or somebody else?
My question would be, how was it mounted to the Sleeve. Round edge on top or bottom?
Very nice Badge, never saw them with this backing, just sewn directly to the Blouse.

Chalky, the curve on arm badges always sits on the top to match the curved shoulder title.
Nico, no I did not remove it from a uniform but bought it from a dealer who stated it was WW2.
When I compare it to my other examples it seems to match the small pair at the bottom which was worn by Tyneside Scottish TA. 1947-55.

2nd Bn sergeants glengarry badge with voided centre 1881-1902.
Die-struck wm star with a cast gm overlay, heavy polish wear with all gilt removed. To the centre a wm St. Andrew brazed to the overlay with 5 tabs. The star of thin gauge material with some loss to peripheral edges and a few bends here and there. On the upper left and lower right arms of the star two blobs of silver solder where holes have been filled in. The lugs and cotter pin both possibly replaced at some time.

The collar on the left came with the badge above, the other a single that I already had slight colour difference but same pattern.
