    Ron,
I was not told the name of the badge maker and I have not come across the collector since I bought three of the Cameron badges, all gone I am afraid. From memory the badge was struck in a thin gauge metal.
I have collected badges for almost fifty years starting with all Scottish Badges with some fine BW pieces. From there I specialised in 1855-81 Scottish Militia, Almost all have gone as I have concentrated on researching and collecting all things to the 3rd Lanark RVC and 7th Scottish Rifles 1908-19.
I also have a secondary collection of Scottish Horse and have a residue of 'nice' pieces from earlier collections.
    Yours aye,
    Coplaw.

Volunteer officers dirk belt plate in reversed metals, 1881-1902.
Silver plated seeded rectagular plate with raised burnished edges. Mounted with a gilt star and silver plate overlay with a copper St. Andrew to the centre.

Reproduction WW2 arm badge, with Division, Arm of service and Regimental designation.
I can see these being sold as original items in a few years.
