    Castle & Museum events

    The Forum admin guys have asked us to start posting on the Forum about our upcoming events, and any announcements. Hope you find what we have to say of interest!

    Captivating Collections
    Friday 13th May
    7-9pm
    Come along for an exclusive guided tour of the museum collections. Drinks and canapés will be served afterwards and you will have the chance to talk to museum staff and ask questions.
    The tour will last approximately 1 hour and must be booked in advance. There will be a maximum of 20 places.
    Ticket price: Adult £5 / Child £3 / Friends £1.50

    Battles of The Black Watch
    Saturday 14th May
    Shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
    See the battles of the famous Black Watch Regiment brought to life by re-enactors Veritas Vincit. Witness sword fights and watch antique muskets fired.
    Experience life in a 18th Century army camp and learn about a day in the life of a Black Watch soldier.
    This is a free drop-in event for all the family. (Standard admission to the Museum applies.)

    Behind the Scenes Tours
    Saturday 14th May
    Tours at 11am and 2pm
    Ever wondered about the objects in a museum store? Now is your chance to find out what is ‘behind-the-scenes’. Book now for a tour of the museum stores and see objects not usually on display to the public. Places limited.
    Ticket price: Adult £5 / Child £3 / Friends £1.50

    Thanks for joining and welcome.

    The members here will appreciate your input to keep them up-to-date as to what is happening.

    I'm sure that the members here also appreciate the efforts you all put into keeping the Castle and Museum going.
